DigiVote Privacy Policy
DigiVote is an unofficial voter-pulse app for parliament, assembly, urban ward, and gram panchayat races in India. It is not the Election Commission of India and is not a legal ballot.
What we store
When you register we store your mobile number, name, gender, age group (for example 25–34), optional email, optional profile photo, and the constituencies you select. We store that you cast a ballot in an election type. We never store who you voted for.
Account deletion
See Request DigiVote account deletion for the steps to delete your DigiVote account and what data is removed or kept.
In short: Account → Delete account in the DigiVote app, or email pratapchittiboyna@zohomail.in with subject “DigiVote account deletion request”.
Location
Location is used only while the app is open during registration, to suggest constituency. We do not store GPS coordinates and we do not track location in the background.
Photos
If you add a profile photo it is stored so other voters can recognise candidates. You may skip a photo. Deleting your account also deletes your photo.
Who we share with
We do not sell personal data. We do not share who you voted for (we do not have it). Infrastructure is Google Cloud (API, database, photo storage) and Firebase phone authentication for OTP.
